1 Reduced adverbial clause
У большинства обстоятельственных придаточных предложений возможны сокращенные, или неполные, варианты. Если подлежащее (Subject) придаточного предложения совпадает с подлежащим главного, а сказуемое содержит глагол be, то подлежащее и be могут опускаться.1) придаточные времени (см. Adverbial clause of time).He got engaged to her when travelling last winter. ( = when he was travelling last winter). — Он обручился с ней во время путешествия прошлой зимой.
2) придаточные места (см. Adverbial clause of place), improvements will be made. ( = Where it is necessary) — Там, где это необходимо, будут произведены улучшения.3) придаточные образа действия (см.
